Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in the Chino mine in southwestern New Mexico is seeking a Senior Operational Excellence Specialist or Engineer to drive data-informed decision making and scale performance optimization.

You will coach leaders and teams to execute high-impact improvement initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning. In this role you will apply Lean, RCA, OEE, and design thinking to influence actions, develop scalable routines, and sustain improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with nine years of Operations/Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with five years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive data-informed decision making and shape performance optimization at scale.
• Coach leaders and teams to support high impact business optimization initiatives.
• Coach others to run effective problem solving and improvement routines.
• Apply bottleneck analysis, RCA, Lean, design thinking, OEE, and lessons learned to influence decisions.
• Influence operational behavior and build scalable structures and routines.
• Facilitate multiple high performing teams and initiatives.
• Review KPIs for equipment and processes based on data analysis.
