Job summary

Apollo Solutions partners with a large enterprise undergoing infrastructure modernization. We seek a Senior OpenShift Engineer to design, automate, and evolve a large-scale OpenShift environment, focusing on virtualization and platform modernization.

You will architect solutions, develop automation, establish standards, and contribute to major transformation initiatives across compute, networking, and security. Strong GitOps and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Kubernetes or related infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Red Hat OpenShift experience in production.
• Hands-on OpenShift Virtualization or KubeVirt experience is required.
• Experience designing, building, and scaling OpenShift environments.
• Strong understanding of GitOps principles and Argo CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance enterprise-scale Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Engineer and support OpenShift Virtualization and KubeVirt for virtualized workloads.
• Contribute to virtualization modernization and workload migration initiatives.
• Develop GitOps infrastructure and deployment processes using Argo CD.
• Build automation around cluster provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and platform management.

We’re partnering with a large enterprise organization undergoing a significant infrastructure modernization programme. As part of an expanding platform engineering team, they’re looking for a Senior OpenShift Engineer to help design, automate, and evolve a large scale OpenShift environment.

A major focus of this position will be OpenShift Virtualization and KubeVirt, supporting the organization’s strategy to modernize how virtualized workloads are deployed and managed.

This is an engineering focused position rather than a traditional operations role. The successful engineer will help architect solutions, develop automation, establish platform standards, and contribute to major infrastructure transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and enhance enterprise scale Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Engineer and support OpenShift Virtualization and KubeVirt solutions for virtualized workloads.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Kubernetes, container platform, or related infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years of hands on Red Hat OpenShift experience within production environments.
• Hands on OpenShift Virtualization or KubeVirt experience is required.
• Experience designing, building, and scaling OpenShift environments.
• Strong understanding of GitOps principles and experience with tools such as Argo CD.
• Experience with multi cluster management, governance, and policy based configuration.
• Strong infrastructure automation and platform engineering experience.
• Experience creating YAML configurations, policies, and infrastructure definitions.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and OpenShift networking, storage, security, and compute.
• Experience developing repeatable engineering solutions rather than simply administering existing platforms.
• Ability to contribute to architecture decisions, engineering standards, and platform strategy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
