Job summary

NACCO Natural Resources Corporation is seeking an experienced mining engineer to lead mid- to long-range open-pit planning and scheduling. You will develop practical mine plans, evaluate options to optimize operations, and communicate results through reports and graphics.

The role requires a degree in engineering with eight years of related experience, plus strong leadership and software skills. Relocation assistance is available for the Plano, TX area.

Qualifications

Engineering degree required with at least eight years in mining engineering.
Master’s degree in Mining or Geological Engineering can supplement experience.
Professional Engineer license or QP registration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop practical open-pit mine plans, production schedules and sequence mine volumetrics.
Plan short-, mid-, and long-range open-pit mining schedules.
Evaluate reserve quality using geologic and mine models and analyze equipment systems.
Estimate total project costs including capital and operating expenditures.
Prepare reports and graphics to communicate engineering results.
