Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer to join the Operations team on our project in Shippingport, PA. This full-time, in-person position is based on-site at the project site in Shippingport, PA.

The role focuses on coordinating on-site trade activities, managing payments from trade contractors, and maintaining cost control. You will mentor junior staff and drive project execution with a strong emphasis on collaboration and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Outstanding communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Basic understanding of construction tools like Bluebeam, SketchUp, Navisworks, BIM360, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite trade activities, including coordination of materials from design and fabrication through delivery and final installation.
• Track, review, and validate monthly payment applications for trade contractors.
• Manage cost control and issue resolution, including change orders, RFIs, and proactive identification of potential risks.
• Assume ownership of overall project execution beyond assigned trade contracts.
• Read, interpret, and apply construction design documents and specifications.
• Lead with integrity and exemplify Holder’s culture by mentoring and developing junior associates on the project.
