The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) seeks a Certified Oncology Data Specialist to support the Murtha Cancer Center Research Program in Bethesda, MD.

This 100% onsite role focuses on clinical data collection, abstraction, and quality control to support multicenter cancer research initiatives. Responsibilities include data entry into the Data Tracking System, adherence to data standards, and collaboration with oncology teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS).
• Current certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) required.
• Knowledge of FORDS, ICD-9/ICD-10, SEER staging, and AJCC TNM.
• Familiarity with cancer management and chemotherapy/radiation regimens.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a T3 Secret Clearance.
• Office-based, 100% onsite Monday-Friday.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise data abstraction team collecting clinical research data for multiple pan-cancer projects.
• Retrieve electronic medical records from DoD EHR systems for data collection; de-identify PHI per IRB protocols.
• Apply FORDS, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, SEER staging, and AJCC TNM knowledge.
• Abstract/demographics, pathology, treatment, outcome, and clinical data into the DTS CRFs.
• Ensure data integrity, timeliness, and accuracy; maintain records and communicate with the research team.
• Assist in developing data standards and SOPs; identify and resolve data collection problems.
• Provide education and act as resource to staff; participate in ACS-CoC trainings.
