Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) to support the Murtha Cancer Center Research Program in Bethesda, MD.

This 100% onsite role involves data abstraction/entry, feedback for process improvements, and ensuring data timeliness and accuracy across multiple cancer projects. Responsibilities include EMR data retrieval, de-identification per IRB protocols, and maintaining data integrity in the DTS CRFs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years as a Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS).
• Current certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the data abstraction team collecting clinical research data for multiple pan-cancer projects within MCCRP.
• Perform electronic medical record retrieval from DoD EHR systems and de-identify data per IRB protocols.
• Abstraction/entry of demographics, pathology, treatment, and outcomes into DTS CRFs ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain data integrity and quality control; develop data standards and SOPs as needed.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to develop solutions to data management issues.
