Job summary

Health & Safety Council is seeking an Onsite Medical Assistant to support our occupational health center along the Gulf Coast. This senior technician role requires performing a broad range of health service tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient clinical operations at client sites.

Key duties include calibrating devices, conducting respirator fit tests, managing patient check-in/out, and coordinating with radiology vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in occupational medicine or equivalent experience.
• General organizational skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current full unrestricted certification.
• Computer skills including electronic medical records.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and safety exams.
• Advanced credentials preferred.
• CDL license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of equipment including x-ray, respirator fit, pulmonary function, audiometry, functional capacity, and breath alcohol devices.
• Calibrate equipment daily per manufacturer requirements.
• Identify and correct safety/hygiene hazards at work stations.
• Complete administrative steps for equipment data verification and recording.
• Administer respirator fit tests per CFR 1910.134.
