Job summary

Black Box is seeking an Infrastructure Technician III to lead and perform advanced ICT infrastructure tasks at customer sites. This contract role is fully onsite in New Albany, OH, with potential extension or hire and occasional travel.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with low-voltage cabling, fiber/Cu testing, and adherence to TIA/BICSI standards. You will mentor junior technicians, ensure safety and quality, and support 24/7 readiness as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low‑voltage cabling systems.
• Proven ability to install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• BICSI Technician Certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, upgrade, and decommission complex structured cabling systems including Cat5e to Cat6A and fiber.
• Perform fusion splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of copper and fiber networks.
• Install and remove racks, cabinets, pathways, network devices, servers, and related infrastructure.
• Mentor Technicians I and II and lead small field teams.
• Deliver client-ready documentation and support after-hours as needed.
