Job summary

Alston Construction, a nationwide general contractor, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to direct onsite personnel and subcontractors in planning, coordination, and execution of work. The role focuses on delivering quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while enhancing client relationships and the company’s image.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, coordinating subs, ensuring adherence to plans and specs, and maintaining as-built drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering and relevant GC experience.
• Experience managing projects from conception to completion.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Effectively plan, schedule, oversee, and manage onsite activities of project to ensure project’s goals and schedules are met.
• Possess strong working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project documents.
• Proactively schedule and coordinate all subcontractors to ensure timely completion and avoid extra costs.
• Monitor subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and contract documents.
• Handle project setup including trailer, equipment, signage, PPE, and related items per procedures.
• Complete accurate daily reports, safety logs, and cost coding.
• Guide project to completion and manage punch list for timely closure.
• Comply with safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
