Job summary

Group PMX in NYC seeks a Senior Resident Civil Engineer to act as on-site technical lead for capital improvement, rehabilitation, and infrastructure projects, overseeing from planning through closeout.

The role requires coordinating with operations, engineering, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget, while ensuring compliance with codes and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering, construction management, or infrastructure project delivery.
• Experience managing projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout.
• Knowledge of civil construction practices, engineering design, and project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, construction, and closeout of civil and infrastructure projects.
• Serve as the on-site engineering representative, providing technical oversight and resolving field issues during construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review engineering designs, construction documents, specifications, submittals, and contract modifications.
• Conduct site inspections, field investigations, and progress meetings to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, schedule impacts, and constructability issues.
• Prepare project reports, executive briefings, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Support procurement activities, contractor management, and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and organizational policies.
