Job summary

HHSC IT seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Specialist to support Medicaid reporting within PMAS in Austin. The role involves gathering business requirements, translating them into technical tests and data queries, and guiding AI-assisted data synthesis for official reporting and strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL, data visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau), and the ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders in an agile environment.

Qualifications

Gather business requirements and translate into technical specs.
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Experience creating reports, dashboards and visualizations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with AI prompting and data synthesis is a plus.

Responsibilities

Gather business requirements and translate into technical specifications.
Lead as Test Manager creating test plans and cases aligned with Agile and Waterfall artifacts.
Translate data requests into actionable AI queries against analytics sources.
Explain technical findings in non-technical language to end-users.
Develop prompts and templates for reporting needs.
Collaborate to create and validate dashboards and reports for monitoring.
