Are you an experienced Online Client Engineer with a passion for delivering immersive multiplayer experiences in Unreal Engine?

A fully remote AAA co-development studio is looking for a Senior Online Client Engineer to help build scalable, high-performance multiplayer features for some of the most ambitious projects in the industry.

The opportunity:

Join a globally distributed team that partners with major studios to solve complex online gameplay challenges. You’ll be embedded in cross-functional development teams, working closely with top-tier talent to bring innovative online features to life using UE5, GBaaS tools, and cutting-edge backend technology.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing multiplayer features and online gameplay systems
• Integrating third-party game backend services (GBaaS), ideally Microsoft Azure PlayFab
• Developing and maintaining client-side networking using Unreal Engine 5
• Collaborating with designers, engineers, and producers to ensure seamless multiplayer functionality
• Building scalable and secure sign-in systems, matchmaking, and leaderboards
• Contributing to a clean and maintainable C++ codebase using modern standards (C++17/20)
• Supporting cross-platform development across PC and consoles
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• At least 5 years of experience working with Unreal Engine
• Strong knowledge of UE5 networking and client-server architecture
• Proven experience with backend integration tools such as PlayFab, AccelByte, Nakama, or Pragma
• Expertise in C++ and modern programming practices
• Familiarity with online platform APIs such as Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Steam, or Nintendo Network
• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
