Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Research Statistician to provide statistical support across the R&D organization, focusing on clinical trials and related research. The role partners with experts across disciplines to advance medicines to patients.

Responsibilities include design, analysis, and reporting of trials, development of protocols and SAPs, and ensuring high-quality statistical outputs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• MS (with 4+ years of experience) or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a highly related field.
• Able to perform statistical computations and simulations.
• Experience with pharma clinical trials (internship or employment).
• High degree of technical competence and effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials or other scientific research studies.
• Assist with development of protocols and/or statistical analysis plans with details for programming implementation.
• Work under supervision to implement sound statistical methodology in scientific investigations.
• Assist in identifying scientifically appropriate data collection instruments and data issues; provide programming specs.
• Collaborate with Data Science in preparing for database lock.
• Develop strategy for data presentation and inference with supervision; ensure accurate interpretation of statistical deliverables.
