Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Research Statistician for Early Oncology, working in a hybrid arrangement in the United States. The role focuses on statistical support for R&D activities, including clinical trials, patient safety and GMA evidence generation.

The ideal candidate holds a MS or PhD in Statistics or Biostatistics and has 4+ years of statistical experience, with oncology or pharma trials preferred. Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners are essential.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience performing statistical computations and simulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain statistics to non-statisticians.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials or other scientific research studies. Assist with development of protocols and/or statistical analysis plans with details for programming implementation.
• Assist in identifying scientifically appropriate data collection instruments. Identify and report data issues or violations of study assumptions.
• With supervision perform statistical analyses as per the analysis plan and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
• Develop strategy for data presentation and inference; ensure accurate interpretation of statistical deliverables.
• Work with cross-functional teams; explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians and support product team communications.
