Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a Nurse Practitioner – Oncology to provide primary care for a caseload of patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires advanced nursing expertise, with duties including designing care plans, ordering tests, and coordinating referrals with specialists.

The ideal candidate will hold an MSN of Nursing, an APRN license, BLS, and preferably a specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nursing.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Specialty nursing certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides primary care for a caseload of patients in collaboration with medical staff.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and conducts age-appropriate screening.
• Prepares comprehensive patient care plans and follows established guidelines.
• Initiates referrals and consultations with appropriate specialists.
• Documents all patient encounters in the EMR and coordinates follow-up care.
• Educates patients and families to support prevention and wellness.
