Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital, a renowned academic medical center in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Medication Safety Office in Oncology at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. You will help develop and execute medication safety initiatives and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pharmacy practice experience
• PGY1 residency or equivalent experience required
• PGY2 residency or equivalent experience required
• Pharmacist license in applicable state/jurisdiction
• ASHP PGY1/PGY2 completion equivalence equals six years of experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute medication safety program across the Cancer Center
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to set and achieve safety goals
• Conduct training for staff on safety practices and procedures
• Review medication-related safety events and identify improvements
• Participate in safety rounds and implement safety improvements
• Support pharmacy programs to ensure regulatory compliance
