Job summary

St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System in Savannah, GA seeks a Pharmacy Oncology Infusion Technician to perform IV admixtures and manage oncology infusion inventory.

The role supports Pharmacy Manager and colleagues, mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with hazardous drug rules. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will develop, implement, operate, and maintain medication-related technology while handling hazardous medications with safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Currently working at least 40 hours per week.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status is required with documentation of continued education within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver IV admixtures and other medications; maintain par levels and assist IV automation.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and staff in training new co-workers; participate inQI activities.
• Coordinate with team to develop Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative and track project timelines.
• Facilitate maintenance of IV automation systems; ensure accurate charge capture and inventory control.
• Oversee inventory of medication cabinets under supervision of Pharmacy Manager.
