Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an Infusion Pharmacist III to oversee preparation, compounding, order verification, and dispensing in oncology settings. The role supports drug therapy optimization and may work directly with providers in pediatrics or research areas.

The position is 100% onsite and supports Attleboro, Foxborough, and Milford locations as a per diem role. Licensure in MA is required or eligible for licensure, with hospital/oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires PharmD or B.Pharm from an accredited college.
• Minimum 5 years hospital/ambulatory care pharmacy experience with 4 years oncology.
• Oncology residency or PGY2 oncology preferred.
• Massachusetts pharmacy license (or eligible) required.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses pharmaceuticals, including sterile products, chemotherapy, biologics, controlled substances, and investigational medications.
• Evaluates all providers’ medication orders for completeness and appropriateness prior to dispensing; consults with providers and nurses to clarify orders as needed.
• Performs quality control on medication orders and prepared medications and additional quality control activities as necessary (e.g., refrigerator temperature, compounding logs, hood cleaning, emergency cart, and controlled substance inventory, etc.).
• Reviews and compares investigational protocols to medication orders for completeness and appropriateness prior to dispensing.
• Oversees pharmacy technicians and students as assigned.
• Participates in the training and orientation of newly hired pharmacists and technicians.
