Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Boston area is seeking an Infusion Pharmacist II to oversee the preparation, compounding, order verification and dispensing of pharmaceuticals in oncology and sterile compounding.

The role focuses on optimizing drug therapy, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, and supervising technicians and students across Weymouth and Brighton, MA locations. Massachusetts pharmacist licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college.
• 3 years hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, sterile compounding experience or 5 years retail pharmacy with 2 years oncology experience.
• PGY1 residency is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preparation, compounding, order verification, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
• Evaluates medication orders for completeness and appropriateness with providers/nurses.
• Performs quality control on orders and prepared medications.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and students.
• Participates in training of new staff.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
