Job summary

UC Irvine’s Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Clinical Research Manager to oversee disease-site teams, ensure adherence to protocols, and coordinate with sponsors and regulators. The role entails team leadership, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced oncology research environment.

The CRM will manage multiple clinical studies, liaise with IRB/FDA among other bodies, and drive continuous quality improvements across a large portfolio of trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Clinical Trial Professional certification within one year in position.
• 5 - 7 years of experience with BA/BS or equivalent years of relevant experience in an academic and/or research environment.
• Experience at a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead disease site teams including clinical research, data, and follow-up coordinators.
• Ensure compliance with study protocols and sponsor requirements.
• Oversee staffing, performance management, and training for CRC staff.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies and sponsors; manage audits and monitoring visits.
• Drive quality assurance and performance improvements across the portfolio.
