ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will have a variety of responsibilities, including promoting Pfizer’s product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educating the healthcare community on the appropriate use of Pfizer products, and engaging with accounts and organized customers to enhance patients’ experience and overall care quality. The SOAS plays a critical role in increasing Pfizer’s brand presence among high-value target customers by assessing accounts and the business landscape, coupled with a strong understanding of Pfizer’s products and resources.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous Pharmaceutical Sales experience or Oncology Healthcare Professional (HCP) experience working with key Oncology thought leaders or high-influence customers in hospitals, large group practices, or managed care organizations.
  • A demonstrated track record of success and accomplishment in previous Pharmaceutical Sales or Healthcare Professional experience.
  • Exceptional aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information to a wide range of customers.
  • Demonstrated high degree of business acumen.
  • Proficiency in using complex digital applications and ability to adapt to Pfizer’s technology models.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of Oncology sales experience.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Advanced Healthcare Professional (HCP) Degree.
  • Experience calling on institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.

Functional / Technical Skills include:

  • Promoting a broad portfolio of products with strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Deep knowledge of customers and markets.
  • Generating demand for Pfizer products in assigned accounts.
  • Strategic account selling and management skills.
  • Maintaining relationships throughout institutions.
  • Overcoming obstacles to access healthcare providers and customers.
  • Cultivating relationships with KOLs and building lasting relationships with top customers.
  • Assessing needs of target physicians/accounts and addressing them with appropriate resources.
  • Superior selling, technical, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and support customers throughout the selling process.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment leveraging multiple resources.

Work Location: Remote - Field Based

The annual base salary ranges from $101,500 to $245,400, with additional Sales Incentive bonuses. We offer comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan with Pfizer Matching Contributions, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health coverage.
