Senior Oncology Account Specialist Hematology San Francisco, CA

Role Summary

The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) will promote Pfizer’s product portfolio to healthcare providers and specialists, educate the healthcare community on Pfizer products, and foster relationships with accounts and organized customers to enhance patient care and experience. The role involves increasing Pfizer’s brand presence among high-value target customers by assessing accounts and leveraging product knowledge.

Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution, or an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and stay overnight as necessary.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a driving record compliant with company standards.
  • Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical sales or oncology healthcare professional experience working with key oncology thought leaders or high-influence customers.
  • Proven success in previous roles and strong communication skills for technical and scientific information.
  • High business acumen and proficiency with digital applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of oncology sales experience.
  • Master’s Degree or Advanced Healthcare Professional Degree.
  • Experience with institutions, NCI centers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
Skills and Responsibilities
  • Promote Pfizer’s broad product portfolio and possess deep knowledge of disease states and therapeutic areas.
  • Generate demand, develop account plans, and maintain institutional relationships.
  • Overcome obstacles to access healthcare providers and cultivate relationships with KOLs.
  • Assess and address the needs of physicians and accounts with targeted approaches.
  • Engage, influence, and support customers effectively, demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Adapt quickly to changing environments and leverage resources in a matrix setting.
Additional Details

Geography includes the San Francisco Bay Area and San Jose, California. Relocation assistance may be available. The work location is remote and field-based.

The annual base salary ranges from $101,500 to $245,400, plus an additional sales incentive bonus. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching, paid leave, health coverage, and more. Salary structures and benefits are location-dependent.
