Job summary

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations for commercial construction projects in the Gary market. The role drives on-site activities, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures safety, quality, and schedule adherence across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years of commercial construction superintendent experience.
• Experience managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on assigned construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress and identify and resolve field issues.
• Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, company standards, and codes.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and project closeout activities.
