Job summary

Hobart Services in Mobile, AL seeks a Service/Repair Technician 3 to install and service commercial food equipment on-site across customer locations. The role requires technical aptitude in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and HVACR systems and readiness for on-call and after-hours support.

You will interpret schematics, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while upholding service quality and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 4-7 years of food equipment service experience and/or 2-4 years of HVACR service experience.
• Associates Degree or Vocational Certificate preferred.
• Industry certification is highly desirable (CFESA / NATE / Hobart) and EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Installs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration commercial food equipment and leads advanced installs as needed.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment for customers on contract or T&M basis.
• Interpret and follow schematic diagrams and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and uphold equipment knowledge.
• Travel to customer sites and support on-call/ after-hours as required.
