Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a General Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on projects up to $100M. This on-site role requires coordinating trade contractors, managing budget, and ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

You will lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and partner with project leadership to deliver quality, on-time construction. Ohio market ranges from $123,600 to $170,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 10-15 years of experience on $30-$100 million projects as lead superintendent
• OSHA 30-hour certified
• STS-C Certification
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet schedule
• Manages project budget for general conditions and site services
• Develops and communicates field work plans for changes
• Maintains contract documents to anticipate problems
• Obtains necessary permits for construction
• Acts as primary safety representative on site
• Develops safety strategies and drives safety culture
• Leads contractor meetings and maintains project reports
• Creates and updates the project schedule with contingency plans
• Plans, coordinates, and manages jobsite logistics
• Trains and mentors field engineers and superintendents
• Supports preconstruction and buyout activities
• Administers Time and Materials tracking
• Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment
