Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Project Manager for on-site work in Nashville, TN. This permanent role oversees construction projects from conception to completion, coordinating with engineers and architects, scheduling deliverables, and estimating costs.

A strong background in building construction, architecture, and project management principles is required. Ideal candidates have at least 5+ years in a similar role, familiarity with safety standards, and proficiency in MS Office and PM software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a construction project manager with 5+ years in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of construction procedures and materials and project management principles.
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and construction/project management software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
• Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
• Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
• Determining needed resources from start to finish with budget considerations.
• Planning all construction operations and scheduling intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
• Acquiring equipment and materials and monitoring stocks to address inadequacies.
• Hiring contractors and staff and allocate responsibilities.
• Supervising the work of laborers and guiding them when needed.
• Evaluating progress and preparing detailed reports.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and reporting issues.
