Job summary

Repsol is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to act as the Owner’s senior on-site construction representative for Solar and Energy Storage projects. You will lead the Owner’s site construction team, oversee EPC Contractor performance against safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and cost requirements, and provide timely escalation and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in construction execution or construction management for power generation facilities, energy storage, transmission, and/or electrical substations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant construction leadership experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret EPC contracts, construction drawings and specifications; leadership through major milestones; strong communication of risks and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership for environmental, health, and safety expectations; hold EPC Contractor leadership accountable for contractual requirements.
• Lead and coordinate the Owner’s site construction team, mentoring staff while fostering cooperation and cost discipline.
• Serve as the senior field point of contact for the Project Manager and EPC Contractor leadership; deliver decision-ready reporting on milestones and risks.
• Oversee field readiness, QA/QC, inspections, and turnover readiness; ensure records support acceptance and turnover.
• Lead RFIs, design clarifications, and construction interfaces; prioritize critical work fronts and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Lead change orders, contractor claims, and cost/schedule impact assessments; support negotiations within delegated authority.
• Validate quantities and progress invoices; provide input to cost forecasts and remaining-work assessments.
• Lead construction readiness and turnover planning with commissioning and operations teams.
