Gemini is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join the Onchain department. You will help design, build, and support crypto wallets, focusing on deposits, withdrawals, and secure storage.

You’ll work within a core engineering team to deliver scalable backend services and secure contract protocols that connect Gemini users with the crypto ecosystem. The role emphasizes code quality, maintainability, and collaboration across teams, with opportunities for impact across multiple product

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with backend service design and scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain concepts and crypto wallets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Improve feedback cycles at all levels of development.
• Ramp up on industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
• Build secure contract protocols and backend services for Gemini users.
• Assess design impacts across teams and the company.
• Review code for correctness, style, and security concerns.
• Refactor and upgrade the Gemini codebase to improve performance and operations.
