Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Sr. Okta Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of Okta-based authentication for a large federated U.S. government agency. You will shape identity and access management across multi‑tenant environments, establishing scalable SSO, MFA, and policy controls.

The role requires federal‑security alignment, strong scripting, and collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to maintain robust identity workflows.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required and able to obtain federal public trust
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• 5+ years in identity and access management, with 3+ years in Okta
• Experience architecting Okta in federated environments with complex trust
• Deep understanding of SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, SCIM and related protocols
• Familiarity with federal frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53)
• Strong scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python) and Okta APIs/workflows

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable Okta solutions across domains and agencies
• Design and implement SSO, MFA, and adaptive access policies
• Integrate Okta with cloud and on‑premise apps and APIs
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless identity workflows
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Okta performance and security posture
