Jobot is seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Title Opinion Attorney to draft, review, and deliver complex title opinions for North Dakota properties. You will rely on deep knowledge of North Dakota real property and mineral law to protect client interests.

The role requires timely, defensible opinions, managing multiple title projects, and coordinating with acquisitions and leasing teams. Remote + flexible billable hours are offered with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the North Dakota Bar.
• Substantial experience in oil and gas title opinions.
• Experience drafting title opinions covering North Dakota lands.
• Strong knowledge of North Dakota real property, mineral, and oil & gas law.
• Ability to analyze complex chains of title and draft comprehensive opinions.
• Experience with oil and gas leases, deeds, and related documents.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, analyze, and deliver drilling and division order title opinions for North Dakota lands.
• Examine chains of title, abstracts, records, and instruments affecting mineral and leasehold ownership.
• Interpret North Dakota statutes and oil & gas regulations to resolve title issues.
• Identify gaps or defects and propose curative measures and draft requirements.
• Determine ownership of mineral interests and related rights.
• Review leases, pooling agreements, unit orders, and surface agreements.
• Manage multiple title projects with limited supervision and meet deadlines.
• Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, leasing, and post-closing title matters.
