Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license or eligibility to practice law in North Dakota.
- Extensive experience drafting and reviewing oil and gas title opinions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver drilling title opinions and related title work for North Dakota lands.
- Examine chains of title, abstracts, and records affecting mineral and leasehold ownership.
- Apply North Dakota law to resolve title issues and recommend curative measures.
- Identify gaps or defects in title and propose corrective actions.
- Determine ownership of various mineral and leasehold interests.
- Review leases, pooling agreements, unit orders, and related documents.
