Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Professional to support complex heavy civil projects, including tunnels and dams, across remote locations. You will lead health, safety, and industrial hygiene efforts, review contractor plans, and ensure compliance with ACP standards and laws.

You will develop safety management systems, coordinate training and toolbox talks, and drive continuous improvement with data-driven insights across projects, teams, and remote campsites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OHS or related field required.
• 15+ years of relevant experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience on at least one $100M+ construction project.
• Experience managing safety in remote locations and campsites.
• Proven ISO 45001 audits experience.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926 standards.
• Experience developing behavioral safety programs.
• Experience conducting occupational hygiene assessments in construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist ACP with Employer Requirements for health, safety, and industrial hygiene in the RIR contract.
• Review contractor health and safety plans for compliance with ACP standards and laws.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on tunnels, dams, and heavy civil sites.
• Monitor contractor compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead behavioral safety initiatives and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Prepare safety reports, investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Track health and safety data, incident trends, audits, corrective actions, and leading/lagging indicators.
• Advise on occupational hygiene measures including exposure assessments and monitoring equipment.
• Develop and monitor ISO 45001-aligned safety management systems and emergency plans.
• Coordinate safety communications, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Travel to remote sites to support safety leadership and incident investigations.
