Job summary

State of Missouri’s Children’s Division seeks a Senior Social Services Specialist IV to conduct child abuse/neglect investigations in out-of-home settings across the St. Louis OHI Area. This role involves MDT collaboration, independent work, and traveling within St. Louis County, City, and St. Charles.

Qualified candidates bring strong investigative experience, attention to detail, and comfort with technology. On-call shifts and staff guidance may be required as part of the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 9+ years of protective services experience including casework and foster care coordination.
• Experience as Social Services Specialist III or Senior level in the Missouri Unified Classification and Pay System.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field with 5+ years of protective services experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OHI investigations in St. Louis County, City, and St. Charles.
• Investigate abuse/neglect in residential facilities, schools, daycare, foster homes, and related settings.
• Co-investigate with Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) and coordinate with licensing entities.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent + 9+ years experience in protective services

Social Services Specialist III / Senior level experience

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field + 5+ years experience
