Job summary

Valaris Limited is seeking an Assistant Crane Operator to support Roustabout crews with daily crane operations and lifting tasks on offshore rigs. The role acts as a senior Roustabout supporting Crane Operators in accordance with policies and procedures.

You will help ensure safety, supervise equipment inspections, and assist in training new Roustabouts while maintaining proper lifting techniques and radio communications with the crew.

Qualifications

• Must have crane operator certification and offshore experience where applicable.
• Minimum of 1 year as a Crane Operator Assistant with offshore exposure preferred.
• Compliance with local unit requirements and company safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crane Operator and Roustabout crew with daily crane and lifting tasks.
• Ensure safety of personnel and equipment, following lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Inspect rig safety equipment and ensure loads are within lifting limits.
• Maintain crane records and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist in organizing Roustabout work and training new personnel.
• Communicate via radio with crew to coordinate operations and weather checks.
