Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a Senior Office Assistant to provide clerical support in the main office. You will handle records, filing, reprographics, and routine communications with staff, students and the public.

Working at CCPS Robious Middle School, you’ll perform data entry, respond to inquiries, screen visitors and assist in the clinic when needed. Compensation ranges from $16,937 to $28,564 annually, with full benefits.

Qualifications

  • Some knowledge of office practices and procedures, including filing systems and business English and Mathematics.
  • Typing, operating personal computers, and general automated office systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with staff, students and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical support including reprographics, filing, maintaining records and ordering supplies.
  • Assembles and disseminates information.
  • Performs light typing of correspondence or other material from rough draft.
  • Screens visitors, telephone calls, and incoming mail.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from parents, citizens and others regarding school programs and schedules.
  • Acts as an information resource to students and faculty regarding routine school operations and policies.
  • Assists with data entry, data management and record keeping.
  • Assists in the clinic in the absence of the clinic assistant.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
