Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer for Offensive Operations to own and evolve the organization's offensive tooling ecosystem while leading advanced adversarial engagements across enterprise and cloud environments.

In this hands-on player/coach role, you will mentor operators, drive high-quality execution, and collaborate with security, engineering, and threat intelligence teams to translate findings into defensive improvements and measurable risk reductions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Information Security and/or Cybersecurity.
• 7+ years in offensive operations and tactics.
• 3+ years leading complex technical engagements.
• 3+ years in one or more programming languages.
• 3+ years in technical writing and post-engagement debriefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead offensive tooling development, integration and evolution.
• Establish best practices for tooling design and automation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for offensive operations.
• Lead or support adversary emulation and red team engagements.
• Design testing scenarios across enterprise and cloud environments.
• Mentor operators and engineers on tradecraft and tooling usage.
