Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead offensive operations, owning the tooling ecosystem and acting as a hands-on leader in red and purple team engagements. You will mentor operators, drive high-quality execution, and align offensive capabilities with enterprise security priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security and/or Cybersecurity
• 7+ years of direct experience in offensive operations and tactics
• 5+ years building or using offensive tooling in real-world environments
• 3+ years leading complex technical engagements
• 3+ years in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, C#, PowerShell, Golang)
• 3+ years in technical writing and post-engagement debriefs

Responsibilities

• Lead offensive tooling development, integration, and evolution
• Establish best practices for tooling design, automation, and standards
• Evolve offensive operations with emerging technologies and techniques
• Lead or support adversary emulation and red team engagements
• Design and run advanced testing scenarios across enterprise and cloud environments
• Mentor offensive operators and engineers
• Provide guidance on tradecraft and tooling usage
• Translate offensive findings into defensive improvements
• Research emerging threats and attack techniques
