Job summary

Liftoff is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Offensive Security to own internal offensive testing, advance from point-in-time tests to continuous AI-assisted testing, and collaborate with engineering to remediate findings across applications, cloud, and infrastructure.

You will contribute to security across Liftoff’s stack, support incident response, and help shape the evolution of our security tooling and testing workflows in a fast-paced adtech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering experience with hands-on application and infrastructure testing.
• Ability to prioritize testing by risk, minimize production impact, and safely validate exploits.
• Experience owning assessments from findings to remediation and retesting.
• Proficient coding for security tools and automation; review PRs and analyze large codebases.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal penetration tests across apps, APIs, cloud infra, and corporate systems.
• Define scope, rules of engagement, assess production risk, and validate vulnerabilities safely.
• Combine code review and architectural analysis to uncover vulnerabilities and demonstrate attack paths.
• Collaborate with engineering to explain findings, drive fixes, and retest until risk is mitigated.
• Maintain knowledge of Liftoff systems and adapt tests as tech stacks evolve; translate findings into repeatable tests.
• Develop testing tools and workflows for automated testing and remediation validation.
