Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a Senior Offensive Cyber Analyst in Arlington/Alexandria, VA. The role supports policy development, operations planning, and senior-level decision materials within the DoW cyber program. A TS/SCI clearance is required to apply.

The position offers a compensation range of $185,000–$205,000 annually and requires extensive experience in offensive cyberspace operations, coordination with DoW and USCYBERCOM, and strong briefing skills.

Position Description

The Offensive Cyber Operations Analyst supports the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Cyber Operations Policy by providing analytical, strategic, and technical expertise that informs the development, implementation, and assessment of policies, strategies, and plans for offensive cyberspace operations. Operating between the Pentagon and Mark Center, this role contributes to shaping DoW offensive cyber initiatives, evaluating operational effectiveness, and producing senior‑level decision materials that ensure offensive cyber missions are aligned with national and departmental priorities.

Core Tasks

• Provide analytical and strategic support for Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO), including monitoring and evaluating planned and executed operations and campaigns.
• Conduct deliberate analysis of offensive cyber missions, operational objectives, risks, authorities, and outcomes.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, strategies, plans, and authorities related to offensive cyberspace operations.
• Assist leadership in assessing the alignment of OCO activities with DoW policy, strategy, guidance, and operational requirements.
• Apply knowledge of intelligence‑development‑operations, targeting, and USCYBERCOM processes to support OCO policy and strategy development.
• Provide technical support and advice on offensive cyber capabilities, processes, mission execution, and operational planning.
• Prepare analyses, reports, briefings, summaries, and decision‑support materials for senior DoW leadership.
• Brief complex cyber operational, policy, strategy, and risk concepts to GO/FO/SES‑level leaders.
• Coordinate with DoW organizations, USCYBERCOM, intelligence partners, operational commands, and other stakeholders to synchronize offensive cyber activities.
• Support identification of operational risks, capability gaps, policy issues, and opportunities to improve offensive cyber mission effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience supporting offensive cyberspace operations.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical support and advice on offensive cyber capabilities, processes, and mission execution.
• Familiarity with intelligence‑development‑operations, targeting, and USCYBERCOM processes.
• Knowledge of offensive cyber policy development, strategy formulation, and implementation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience briefing complex cyber operational, policy, and risk concepts to GO/FO/SES‑level leaders.
• Ability to interface effectively with senior‑level leadership.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Preferred

• Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Experience supporting DoW or USCYBERCOM offensive cyber policy, planning, or operations.
• Familiarity with cyber authorities, operational planning processes, and joint cyberspace operations.
