Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. is seeking an Off-road Calibration Owner to lead the development of traction performance for North American Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.

The role focuses on AWD/PE system calibration, hardware validation, and cross-functional collaboration across chassis, powertrain, and software groups. The candidate should have 5+ years in automotive engineering, hands-on experience in vehicle dynamics and traction development, and a proven ability to manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive engineering experience.
• 2+ years in vehicle dynamics, controls, off-road and traction development.
• 3+ years in calibration scheduling and management.
• 3+ years of pre-production automotive testing (winter/off-site).
• Experience with traction control, AWD, and EV slip control.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and calibrate off-road and traction development for NA market vehicles.
• Develop hardware specs and performance targets for AWD and PE systems.
• Produce calibration software for traction, AWD, and related functions.
• Collaborate with chassis, powertrain, and software teams for integration.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to align hardware/software development.
• Prepare clear project status and technical reports.
