Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Staff Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to develop, implement, monitor, and maintain company OEHS programs ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is 100% onsite with responsibility for the safety culture of a 370-employee manufacturing site.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years OEHS experience, deep OSHA/EPA/DOT knowledge, and is US citizen. ISO 14001/45001 familiarity and CIH/CSP desirability are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an OEHS discipline, applied science, or public health.
• 10+ years of OEHS experience.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 familiarity or experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interact across levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety.
• Maintain OEHS plans to ensure OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state compliance.
• Lead OEHS programs and train staff on safety compliance.
• Coordinate with local authorities for regulatory adherence.
• Conduct audits, investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee emergency planning and response; manage HazMat processes.
• Manage air permits, radioactive materials licenses, and waste operations.
