SYNC is seeking a Senior Odoo Systems Engineer to support our U.S. team and own the development, customization, and reliability of our Odoo environment. The ideal candidate understands Odoo anatomy, code, database, security, and business workflows and can translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities include building modules, integrating with e-commerce platforms, and ensuring data integrity across Odoo apps while collaborating with the U.S. team to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Odoo framework, ORM, data models, views, and security.
• Experience building custom modules and API integrations.
• Understanding of end-to-end business processes across Odoo apps.
• Fluent English and ability to lead technical discussions.

The ideal candidate understands Odoo’s internal architecture, code, database, security, and business workflows, and can independently turn business requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules, features, reports, and automated workflows.
• Configure and customize sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting, CRM, and e-commerce applications.
• Collaborate with the U.S. team to gather requirements, improve processes, and recommend solutions.
• Integrate Odoo with e-commerce platforms, payment services, shipping providers, and other business systems.
• Diagnose and resolve application errors, integration failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development and implementation experience, including production environments.
• Deep knowledge of Odoo’s framework, ORM, module dependencies, data models, views, business logic, and security.
• Proven experience building custom modules, extending functionality through inheritance, and developing reliable API integrations.
• Understanding of end-to-end business processes across Odoo applications.
• Fluent English, with the ability to lead technical discussions, gather requirements, and explain solutions clearly.
• Ability to work independently and overlap with agreed U.S. working hours.
