Job summary
Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. We are seeking an experienced OCI Cloud Engineer to architect, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure OCI environments on Oracle cloud.
You will own the full OCI engineering lifecycle, from landing-zone design and infrastructure-as-code to workload migration, cost optimization, and observability, partnering with DB, application,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of cloud engineering experience with hands-on OCI.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform at production scale.
- Experience with OCI compute, networking, storage, identity, and database services.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for cloud workloads.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with observability tooling and incident response.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade OCI landing zones and tenancy structures.
- Design OCI networking topologies including VCNs, subnets, and gateways.
- Build and maintain OCI infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and OCI Resource Manager.
- Implement IAM policies and RBAC using OCI Identity Domains.
- Design and operate OCI compute and storage services optimized for workload patterns.
- Operate OCI database services in partnership with DBA teams.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications on OCI DevOps or external tools.
- Implement observability using OCI Monitoring, Logging, and APM.
- Drive cost optimization through right-sizing and lifecycle management.
- Design disaster recovery and business continuity across regions.
- Strengthen security posture and lead remediation of findings.
- Advise development teams on OCI-native design patterns and best practices.
- Develop automation tooling in Python, Bash, and Terraform.
