Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System invites applications for a position managing the daily operations of nursing staff within the Occupational Health program. The role requires clinical leadership, staff development, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high‑quality care and optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a related field, current Texas PA/NP credentials, CPR certification, and proven experience in occupational health and hospital administration.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program.
• Program must be accredited by ARC-PA/ANCC/AANP or predecessors.
• Must have a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing.
• Three years APP experience preferred.
• Two years managerial experience preferred.
• Two years occupational health experience preferred.
• Must have current CPR from AHA/Red Cross/Military Training Network.
• Must meet Texas licensure and credentialing requirements for PA or APRN, incl. prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of assigned nursing staff and supervision of occupational health services.
• Plan, develop, and ensure quality care and optimal outcomes for patients.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to promote integrated care.
• Supervise time, attendance, and patient care activities of nursing staff.
• Communicate with departments to maintain collaborative operations.
• Lead education for staff and patients; provide training as needed.
• Monitor infection control, safety, supplies, and equipment utilization.
• Develop and monitor programs, policies, and procedures; ensure HIPAA compliance.
