Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Occupancy Planner for the Workplace & Occupancy Planning Team in San Antonio, TX. You will drive tactical and strategic space plans, sequence migrations, and enforce space policies while leveraging utilization data to boost productivity.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in corporate space planning, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. On-site role with strong cross-functional collaboration and executive-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably in strategic space/occupancy planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, cell calculations) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in CAFM/IWMS software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for basic test-fits and square-foot calculations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and big-picture perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Sequence building and floor level migrations, facilitate and resolve planning issues identified in customer meetings.
  • Ensure planning aligns with corporate guidelines and maximizes use of space.
  • Govern, educate, and enforce space policies, guidelines, procedures, and protocols with the account team.
  • Track and notify the client of customer-requested exceptions; create and document related reporting and develop Planning Strategies for Senior Leadership approval.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in the client's workplace program and use utilization data to drive solutions that increase productivity.
  • Model superior client relationship management and strategic thinking.
  • Interact with organizational leadership, leading the team to identify requirements and update status reports on seat demand at site and BU levels.
  • Report on current supply, capacity, and forecast inventory changes; reconcile projections.
  • Track and report actual seat demand while maintaining occupancy metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with CREWS, BU & HR leadership, Corporate Finance, Project Management, Relocation PM, facility management, and occupancy planning team members.

Senior Occupancy Planner – Workplace & Occupancy Planning Team
Role Purpose

As a Senior Occupancy Planner, you will be driving the development of tactical and strategic plans. Sequencing of building and floor level migrations as well as facilitating and/or resolving planning issues identified in customer meetings. You will ensure that planning is aligned with corporate guidelines, and that all scenarios maximize use of space. You will govern, educate, and enforce space policies/guidelines, procedures, and protocols with the account team. You will track and notify the client of customer requested exceptions; create and document all related reporting and, as necessary, develop specific Planning Strategies for approval by Senior Leadership. You will be a Subject‑Matter Expert in the client's workplace program and the use of utilization data to drive solutions that increase productivity of the Workplace. You will model superior client relationship management and strategic thinking.

  • Report on current supply, capacity, and forecast inventory changes; reconcile top‑down and bottom‑up seat‑count projections.
  • Track and report actual seat demand at site and business unit levels while maintaining typical occupancy metrics and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with CREWS, Business Unit & HR leadership, Corporate Finance, Project Management, Relocation Project Management, facility management, and occupancy planning team members to ensure cross‑campus strategy plans are developed and followed.

Required Qualifications
