NYU Langone Health’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a full-time Senior Obstetrician to lead Labor & Delivery and advance patient safety across two campuses in Manhattan and Brooklyn. This hospital-based role combines complex obstetric care with real-time decision-making and system-wide safety initiatives.

The position emphasizes clinical leadership, trainee mentorship, and active involvement in quality improvement and research within a major academic health system.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in OB/GYN.
• Five+ years of continuous active OB clinical practice.
• Active New York State medical license.
• Completion of a U.S.-accredited OB/GYN residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership in Labor & Delivery and manage complex obstetric deliveries.
• Promote adherence to evidence-based obstetric protocols and patient safety standards; review adverse events and near-misses.
• Oversee trainee education and mentorship, and supervise Advance Practice Practitioners; participate in quality improvement and clinical research.
• Engage in leadership development and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
