Job summary

Sigma Computing is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build observability and reliability tooling in a fast-paced environment. You will develop metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts, using Go, OpenTelemetry, and Kubernetes, while helping teams monitor and operate services with high uptime.

You will contribute to runtime tooling, on-call processes, and best practices for measurable systems, collaborating through design reviews to elevate software quality across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience building and maintaining high-quality software.
• Product-minded approach to infrastructure systems.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Craftsmanship mindset and intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Build observability tools and platforms for metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards and alerts.
• Build runtime tools and processes to improve cloud triage and reduce downtime.
• Define best practices to make systems measurable and observable.
• Participate in design and code reviews to promote best practices across technologies.
• Contribute to on-call rotations to ensure uptime of services.
