Job summary

Sigma Computing in San Francisco, CA, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build observability tools and platforms that help engineering teams measure and operate services reliably. You’ll work on metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting using Go, Open Telemetry, and Kubernetes.

You will participate in on-call rotation, improve cloud incident response, and define observability practices across the stack, while collaborating with peers through design reviews and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
• 5+ years industry experience building software.
• Product mindset for infrastructure systems.
• Desire to be a great teammate and have fun at work.

Responsibilities

• Build observability tools and platforms for metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and application performance management.
• Build runtime tools to improve cloud triage and reduce downtime.
• Join the on-call rotation and ensure uptime of services.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
