Job summary

Atoms is building the machines powering the next era of progress in Mountain View. This role leads a team of engineers delivering end-to-end observability across a scalable infrastructure, owning roadmaps, and driving production reliability in a fast-growing, hardware-software environment.

You will work hands-on about a third of the time while shaping architecture, evaluating trade-offs, and communicating timelines to leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams
• Strong foundation in engineering architecture and design fundamentals
• Ability to scope a roadmap and drive execution independently

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers owning end-to-end observability across the company's infrastructure
• Own the roadmap for observability and cost initiatives independently
• Drive down time to detect and time to mitigate for production incidents
• Extend observability coverage into new physical domains as the company expands
• Maintain a cost-efficient observability stack
• Represent the technical state of your domain with feasibility and timelines
• Stay hands-on roughly a third of the time to unblock the team
• Grow the careers of engineers while maintaining technical ownership
