Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Object Storage to design, implement, and extend a scalable internal object storage system. This role focuses on building reliable storage services for AI/ML research teams at scale, with emphasis on durability and performance across thousands of nodes.

You will contribute to architecture, optimize for exabytes of data, and work with Python, Go, and C/C++ in distributed environments.

Qualifications

• Consistent track record of developing object storage services.
• Ownership of product delivery from inception to support.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Experience developing distributed systems with Python, Go, C/C++.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the design, development, and testing of our object storage system.
• Developing storage capabilities to support NVIDIA research teams and other users.
• Extending the availability and reliability of our deployments at scale – 10k+ nodes, exabytes of data.
• Analyzing and improving system performance at all levels.
• Automating storage infrastructure end-to-end including provisioning, management and monitoring.
• Making contributions upstream to open source storage codebases.
